Taxpayer Funder Madrassa?
Read Katherine Kersten’s column here: Are Taxpayers Footing Bill for Islamic School?
In Minnesota, there is a charter school named Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy. There is a a central prayer space, girls wear headscarfs, and the principal is an imam. The cafeteria serves halal food, and parents say the children fast during Ramadan. This school is taxpayer funded, as the school claims they are non-sectarian.
I somehow doubt a Christian, faith based school would get so much of our government’s money and support.
