Sarah Rocks the House
Styrofoam Greek Columns ……. $9,000
Biden’s Hair Plugs ………………. $3,000
Getting Beaten By a Girl ……. Priceless!!!
I knew Sarah Palin would surprise everyone with with her ability and wit, but she exceeded even my high expectations. She showed incredible poise under extreme pressure and vitriolic attacks. She never missed a beat, never uttered a single “uh”, despite her teleprompter malfunctioning. Sarah portrayed integrity, sincerity, and a willingness to fight for her beliefs. The love she showed for her children was touching and unmistakable. The humorous, stinging barbs she lobbed at Obama were perfectly timed and delivered. Here is a video of a portion of Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech:
Right around the 7:20 mark is one of my favorite lines when Sarah refers to the “Greek styrofoam pillars” behind Obama during his acceptance speech.

Nothing short of “Awesome”. My favorite line was when she said that there was only one man running that has ever “Fought” for you. I thought that was very powerful. After her speech, I was recording Fox News and flipping back and forth between “Clinton News Network” (CNN) and some others, the first thing they all said was “It was a good speech, of course someone else wrote if for her.” I thought I would be sick. However, for the first time, I feel excited about this election. John McCain is still way more left than I would like but wow, Obama,,,,,, Sarah Palen is a class act all the way around. People are still saying that Hillary will be the first woman president,,, I don’t know,,, Also, Fred was awesome. I thought about Pundit Chic when he gave his speech. I am starting to think that McCain might pull this off. I think any Democrat should be enjoying a 20 point lead right now. The fact that they are neck and neck in the polls leads me to think that with the energy that Palen has generated, It might turn out ok come November!
This is my prayer!!!
I noticed they didn’t mention Obama has all his speeches written for him too, as well as McCain and Biden. I read in an article today Palin did in fact write portions of the speech. Her teleprompter malfunctioned during the speech, and she still hit it out of the park … unlike Obama, who while at a campaign stop couldn’t think of anything to say when his teleprompter went out.
I feel heartened after this week … even hopeful. I’m also surprised McCain is doing so well in a year that was supposed to be a sure thing for Democrats.
I was a bit wistful during Thompson’s stirring speech, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. Although McCain’s not my favorite, he’s really running a smart campaign. And if McCain hadn’t been the nominee, it’s unlikely Sarah would have been chosen for VP. She gave an incredible speech, and I love how she pulled no punches with Obama … hilarious. It’s still early, but I think she has a shot of being president one day. It’s a really strange thought it is within the realm of possibility it could be Sarah vs. Hillary … what a weird election that would be.
I will definitely be praying for the Palins and the McCains. They have endured some really low-down and dirty attacks …. especially Sarah’s family.
